Introduction

     1.Purpose

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Center of National Tsing Hua University (NTHU) was established in January 2018. The goals of the center are to establish an AI innovation environment, cultivate AI talents, create state of the art technology of AI, and develop into an international innovation center.
 

     2.Development Goals

Short-term:
The center Integrates the human resources and R&D energy, and serve as the contact window and cooperation platform for production, government, and research institutions, as well as actively promote the execution of various cooperation plans.
Medium-term:
The center focused on planning and promoting cross-disciplinary AI talents development, related courses and academic support, as well as educational promotion activities on related topics inside and outside the school. In addition, organize AI-related academic and exchange activities to improve visibility at home and abroad.
long-term:
The center will become a world-class AI innovation and research center, lead NTHU AI research to the innovation and research, and lead NTHU AI to the world stage.
 

     3.Main work items

  • The AI cross-disciplinary research projects promoted by the unit of the NTHU will be assisted for application and implementation.
  • National and international academic and industrial seminars will be held to promote various exchanges.
  • AI-related technology transfer is assisted by the match.
  • Education promotion activities and provision of relevant curriculum support will be organized to foster AI talents.
  • Various resources are integrated into the NTHU and further will be bred AI-related startups.

 

      4.Expected results

The center will promote and build the goals of artificial intelligence innovation R&D environmental mechanism, cultivating international-level artificial intelligence professionals, research and development of cutting-edge technology for artificial intelligence, and promoting artificial intelligence-related startups.
